What the Xeon 6369P is

The Intel Xeon 6369P is the top 8-core member of the Xeon 6 6300P Raptor Lake server stack on Socket LGA 1700. It runs 8 Performance-cores with Hyper-Threading for 16 threads at 3.3 GHz base with boost to 5.7 GHz, backed by 24 MB of cache and a 95 W TDP. Intel launched the 6300P range in the first quarter of 2025 at a 679 USD recommended price, built on Intel 7 for single-socket entry servers.

Eight P-cores at high clocks suit virtualization hosts, database nodes, content platforms and hosted services that need both frequency and threads in one tower. The 3.3 GHz base keeps sustained work moving, while bursts to 5.7 GHz match the fastest Raptor Lake desktop boosts. The 24 MB cache pool keeps virtual machine working sets near the cores.

Against the 8-core Intel Xeon 6357P below it, the 6369P adds base frequency and boost at a higher 95 W class. Against the 6-core Intel Xeon 6349P below it, the 6369P adds 2 cores for denser consolidation. ECC memory and 1S server firmware separate it from desktop Core parts. See Socket vs chipset: what decides whether a CPU works for why chipset series plus BIOS revision together decide board fit.

Socket and motherboard compatibility

The 6369P fits LGA 1700 in the FCLGA1700 package, the same socket as Alder Lake, Raptor Lake and Raptor Lake Refresh desktops. Server boards with workstation chipsets that list Xeon 6300P support take the 6369P, while desktop boards stay outside the validated list. Because board vendors qualify power classes individually, the 6369P must appear by name on the support list rather than being assumed from socket fit.

Memory is DDR5-4800 ECC in two channels up to 128 GB. Unlike desktop Raptor Lake boards, server LGA 1700 boards validate ECC operation, so business data stays protected. A move from any other socket is a full platform change with board, memory and heatsinks replaced together.

Memory, PCIe and cooling

Memory on this platform is DDR5-4800 ECC in two channels up to 128 GB. Two channels keep 16 threads supplied in virtualization and database mixes. Population order follows the board manual, and ECC should stay enabled for business data.

PCI Express connectivity is Gen 5 with x20 lanes from the CPU in a 1x16 plus 1x4 layout, plus 8 DMI lanes to the chipset. That lane budget feeds an NVMe array plus 10 and 25-gigabit networking on an entry server without strain. Lane splits follow the board block diagram.

Cooling uses standard LGA 1700 retention, and the 95 W class needs a capable tower air cooler or 1U server heatsink rated for that class. The junction limit of 100 degrees C suits ventilated racks. Firmware power limits can cap draw below the default where thermals demand it, at some cost in sustained clocks.

Upgrade paths

On the same socket, there is no larger Xeon 6300P part above the 6369P in this batch, so growth on LGA 1700 means a second node rather than a bigger chip. The 8-core Intel Xeon 6357P beside it keeps the same cores at lower clocks for the 80 W class.

The step down to the 6-core Intel Xeon 6349P trims cores for a lower price. A move to BGA 4368 Granite Rapids-D is a different soldered platform with many more cores for edge racks. That change replaces board, memory and cooling from scratch.

Frequently asked questions

What socket does the Intel Xeon 6369P use?

FCLGA1700 (LGA 1700), the same 1,700-contact socket as 12th to 14th Gen Core desktops. Server boards with W680 or R680E class chipsets that list the SKU take it.

What does the P suffix mean on the Xeon 6369P?

The P suffix marks a single-socket only part. Every Xeon 6300P model carries it, since the whole range is validated for 1S entry servers with no dual-socket option.

What memory does the Xeon 6369P need?

DDR5-4800 ECC in two channels, up to 128 GB. The board vendor qualifies exact DIMM types and speeds.

Does the 6369P work in desktop LGA 1700 boards?

Server LGA 1700 boards that list Xeon 6300P support. Desktop boards may boot some Raptor Lake parts, but ECC behavior and management features follow the server board vendor list.
