Terms of Use

By opening these pages you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the site. Contact: [email protected].

What this site is

This site is a free technical reference. It lists CPU sockets, the processors that fit them, related chipsets, memory notes and cooler mounting notes. Pages are written from maker pages and other listed sources, with the check date shown at the bottom of each page.

Information only, not advice

All content is general information. It is not personal advice and it creates no contract.

Compatibility tables describe what a chipset and processor generation allow in general. A specific board can differ, because its maker decides which BIOS versions to publish and which processors to list. Before you buy or flash anything, read the board maker CPU support list for your exact board model and revision. The board maker list wins where it conflicts with this site.

Accuracy and updates

Facts are checked against the sources listed on each page on the date shown there. Makers change specifications, links die, and new steppings appear. We correct confirmed errors after a report to Contact, but we give no promise that every page is current at every moment. Launch prices, where shown, are maker prices at launch, not current shop prices.

Acceptable use

You may read, link to and cite the pages for personal and editorial purposes.

You agree not to:

Bulk research use and normal search engine crawling at a fair rate are allowed.

Intellectual property

Text, tables and layout on this site belong to the site operator except where noted. Facts themselves (socket names, contact counts, clocks) are not owned by us and stay with their makers.

Intel, Core, Xeon, Pentium, Celeron, AMD, Ryzen, Athlon, Threadripper, EPYC and other product names are trademarks of their owners. They appear only to identify the products described. This site is independent. It is not linked to, approved by or sponsored by Intel, AMD or any board or cooler maker.

You may quote short passages with credit and a link to the page. Any other reuse, such as full page copies or data exports for publication, needs prior written permission.

Each page links the sources used. External pages can change or vanish without our control. We are not liable for the content of external sites. A source link is not an endorsement of everything on that outside site.

No warranty

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of fitness for a purpose, correctness and availability. We do our best to keep it correct and online, but we do not promise uninterrupted access.

Liability limit

To the extent the law allows, the site operator is not liable for loss that results from the use of, or inability to use, these pages, including wrong purchase or BIOS decisions. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to limit, such as liability for intent or gross negligence, or for injury to life, body or health.

If you are a consumer, your statutory rights remain in full.

Changes

We can change these terms when the site changes, for example when new tools or services are added. The "updated" date at the top shows the current version. Continued use after a change counts as acceptance of the new version.

Applicable law

These terms follow the laws of the EU member state where the operator is based, or, for consumers, the mandatory protections of the consumer home country. Disputes should first be raised by email to [email protected] so most issues can be fixed without formal steps.
