What the Core i7-1366URE is

The Core i7-1366URE is the industrial extended temperature version of the 10-core Raptor Lake-U i7 for BGA 1744 boards from the first quarter of 2023. Two Raptor Cove Performance-cores with hyperthreading plus 8 Gracemont Efficient-cores give 10 cores and 12 threads, with P-cores at 1.7 GHz base and up to 4.9 GHz turbo. The package carries 12 MB of Smart Cache. Base power is 15 W with 55 W turbo for harsh enclosures with extended temperature validation and functional safety documentation.

Iris Xe Graphics to 1.3 GHz cover industrial displays and signage. Dual channel DDR4, DDR5 or LPDDR5 feeds 10 hybrid threads for gateway duty. The URE suffix marks industrial temperature range and long supply against commercial UE parts.

Industrial buyers pick the URE suffix for extended temperature operation where commercial parts cannot qualify. Ten threads suit gateways and HMIs at 15 W, while i5 UE parts trim cost for lighter loads. Boards that support Raptor Lake-U cover industrial SKUs with qualified firmware. The How to find your CPU socket type guide helps confirm BGA 1744 fit.

Socket and motherboard compatibility

The 1366URE solders to BGA 1744 on industrial boards with no socketed path. Board makers set memory type and extended temperature qualification. BGA 1744 does not cross to LGA 1700 desktop boards. ARK lists industrial extended temperature use conditions with functional safety documentation.

Platform IO comes from the SoC plus board wiring, with NVMe, wireless and display outputs from the design. Factory firmware carries Raptor Lake-U industrial support.

Memory, PCIe and cooling

DDR4-3200, DDR5-5200 or LPDDR5-6400 in two channels feeds CPU and graphics together. Soldered LPDDR5 suits sealed harsh boxes, while SODIMM suits serviceable gateways. Dual channel doubles graphics bandwidth.

PCIe Gen4 lanes wire NVMe plus wireless controllers. Cooling is a spreader to the chassis for 15 W across the industrial range.

Upgrade paths

No CPU change is possible on soldered BGA 1744. Storage and radio modules move where slots exist. Display cabling adds more value than internal swaps for fixed images.

The 1366URE already tops industrial Raptor Lake-U turbo, so the next step is commercial i7 U parts on BGA 1744 only where temperature allows. Otherwise add memory and storage.

Frequently asked questions

What socket does the Core i7-1366URE use?

BGA 1744 as a soldered BGA for Raptor Lake mobile processors. It cannot be removed or upgraded.
